The drought in Maharashtra has severely impacted farmers, particularly in the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions, which have been plagued by drought for years. This year the situation of farmers in Maharashtra is worse than before. Farmers are facing a combination of economic distress, environmental challenges, and policy failures. The government has declared drought in 265 out of 358 talukas, covering nearly 74% of the state, and has initiated relief measures to assist affected farmers. Diwali is a significant festival celebrated across our country. During this joyous occasion, children eagerly anticipate wearing new clothes and receiving gifts. But unfortunately, not everyone has the ability to buy new clothes for this auspicious occasion. This project will provide new clothes for approximately 500 kids in 10 locations around Maharashtra.
